On Thursday, July 31, 2008, Secretary of Education David Long will host a community dialogue on education reform, based on the findings of the Governor's Committee on Education Excellence (GCEE). This open forum will take place from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Santa Clara County Office of Education, 1290 Ridder Park Road, San Jose, CA 95131-2304.
We invite you, your friends and colleagues to join Secretary Long, GCEE Chairman Ted Mitchell, and others for a Bay Area public discussion forum aimed at answering questions about and providing further information on the Committee's report.
Secretary Long's invitation and a map to the county office is attached; we ask that you forward this information to your colleagues and networks in the region.
This will be the last in a series of forums held throughout the state.
